You and Your Orthodontist
Your first appointment will be an initial consultation. This appointment is very important, as it will provide valuable insights of your orthodontic needs. A digital radiograph of your teeth and a series of digital photographs may be taken to outline the initial diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Loo or Dr. Yen will review your dental and medical histories, discuss your concerns and inquiries with you, and perform a thorough orthodontic examination. If you happen to have orthodontic insurance, please bring your insurance card(s) upon your visit.

Your initial consultation includes:
- One digital panoramic x-ray: full view of all your teeth, jaws, sinuses, nasal area, and temporomandibular (jaw) joints
- Five digital photos of your face and teeth
- A thorough 45 to 60-minute examination with a discussion of potential treatment options and fees
Initial Consultation Fee
- Children (ages 18 and under): $50
- Adults (ages 19 or above): $100
If orthodontic treatment is recommended,
the following information will be proposed to you:
- Your ideal time to start treatment
- An orthodontic treatment plan
- Your approximate length of treatment
- The different types of treatment options
- The different types of braces and retainers
- The cost of your particular treatment
- Your payment options and plans
- Your insurance coverage options
